The Muse, she is the wild, passionate and creative force within. When she dances our spirits take flight. Joy and beauty is her gift. If not joy than certainly a contentment wells up. This does not manifest from standing back while admiring your easel. It blooms while you are fully engaged - attention focused - brush in hand.

Personally, I must admit, I enjoy celebrating my creative works. Standing before my recent work is a pleasure at times. It gives me time to study its design and what needs to change. I just don’t want to get stuck there. Momentum is crucial.
Worrying or fearing failure imprisons the Muse. Painting with
“Wild Abandon” is when I feel the most alive. Interestingly enough, embracing change has brought me greater freedom. From creative tension, angst, or passion I find the freedom to risk. This consciousness and courage creates art that surprises and delights me.

P.S. You won’t find any moose on this site. Try Alaska... Enjoy, Jeff
