CoolHotNot logo designs

Below you’ll find my new logo designs for CoolHotNot. Your comments are greatly appreciated. We are looking for feedback.

What is the mission of Coolhotnot.com?

1. CoolHotNot will help people discover what products are the best – what they adore, the crème de la crème, thumbs way up! (what’s cool).

2. Will help people discover what products are on people’s wish list or display their own list – things they want (what’s hot).

3. Will help people discover what products are inferior and what to avoid – the worst (what’s not).

CoolHotNot will primarily provide product and service reviews. The information comes from the “experts” and the wisdom of the masses to help individuals, family, and friends find those things that add quality to their lives, make wise purchases, inform others of their wishes, while avoiding those things that are likely to cause disappointment or frustration.

We like number 3 (posterized) graphics
We prefer the tagline however, on #2 (bold)

Looks like you are having fun! That’s good to see.

    Cheers!

  • I much prefer the simple graphic stlye. The others strike me as too clever by half, but the simple one just says “smart”.

    Hi Jeff,
I like the simple graphic style the best. It caused my brain to take a little time to figure it out, but that just allowed it to make a mental impression that’s easy to remember. The other styles were distracting to me because I looked at the details of the hand drawings too much, though I liked the descriptive words under those drawings. Maybe you could put “The best. The wanted. The worst.” under the simple graphics coolhotnot logo.

My fav is the first, the graphic style. Its simple and clear. What more do you need for a graphic symbol? Good luck with your endeavors, Jeff.

    HI Jeff,
    Happy Holidays to you.

I went to your blog, I like the first design best for the purpose of which you described. I like the impersonal touch of the “modern’ design thumbs rather that the more realistic ones to render an opinion of a product, goods or services. The other ones, although nice to see, reminded more of fists and were more powerful looking almost reminding me of the way gangs give a thumbs up. – more aggressive. Hope this helps.

    Good work, Jeff!

    Namaste,
    Marsha

    Great to hear from you!
I like logo design #15 best.
Simplicity rules… and I prefer the cleaner lines of it.

    Take care,
    Mark

I like number 17-c. Simple, yet bold and tells enough of the story so that your left curious.

The Simple Graphic Style gets my vote, because it says “with it.” Good luck, Jeff!

  • Hi Jeff,

I liked the Bold Graphic Design – 17 C and it’s tag line. When reading other comments I would say I liked the Simple Design 2nd, but also keeping the tagline for 17C.

I didn’t know you were working on a project like this. I’ve been planning on adding a page to my website giving this type of info, so I’ll put your link for additional resources once you have it up and running.

    Hi Jeff,

    How fun! Thanks for asking.

Simple Graphic Style Refined – CHN logo 15L looks most attractive to me for the purpose of a logo, for aesthetics I like Geo Thumb Quote Bubbles – CHN logo 28 best but it’s not as readily easy to identify that those are thumbs on that one.

    Ciao!

  • I like “Geo Graphic Style – CHN logo 27″ the best, but “Geo Thumb Line – CHN logo 30″ you would have the possibility to use just the graphic thumb to represent your brand.

I think I like 15K the best. Either that or 27

I like CHN 27B the best, though there is something retro and catching about those real fists at the bottom, reminds me of Rosie the Riveter and the movie Metropolis and Ayn Rand, but I don’t think they are my fave for every day use. 15H is my second favorite, because I like the gray color of the “not” hand.

Best of luck, Jeffie!!! love and hugs.

    Jeff,
I like the 17c the best in relation to the type. I prefer the contrast between the two. Next I like 15, the clean simple one. I wonder what it would look like if the thumb down broke the text – “coolhot” then the thumb breaks the text and then “not”. Great work! Steve

I like CHN Logo 15 the most, I find it more elegant than the others.
